The Utility Research Lab is an interdisciplinary research group within the ATLAS Institute and Department of Computer Science at the University of Colorado Boulder. We invent and investigate digital manufacturing technology, tools, and techniques. The lab’s research combines computational fabrication, materials science, and sustainable design practices. Our goal is to advance science and engineering while positively impacting people, society, and the environment.

📢 We are looking for two highly-motivated PhD students to research topics in digital fabrication and sustainability! ≫ For more information, see our Opportunities for Prospective Ph.D. Students.
